I just got a new Nikon D800. All the reviews I’ve read that say that it’s the best camera ever created… well, they’re right. It is amazing. I’ve only had a chance to shoot on a couple lunch breaks so far, but the results are wonderful. Here’s a few shots taken with it.

This is using two of my just released textured from the Texture Club. If you’d like a print, you can purchase them on Etsy.
I’m really bad about adding daily photos…
I seem to neglect this blog way too much… I always intend to post daily photos, and I do for 2 or 3 days, then it gets neglected. Anyhow’s here’s a few nature photos I took on my lunch break. They’re all shot with the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 lens. Most people wouldn’t consider this a nature lens, but I absolutely love it for that purpose!
Photo of the day: Lake Sunset
I’m digging way back in the archives for this one… in fact, it’s the first shot I ever posted to Flickr. It’s from January 2008, a month in to my adventure of photography. It was taken with a Canon point and shoot camera. At the time, I would have never anticipated that photography would become such a passion. I’ve learned so much over such a short amount of time and I feel blessed that so many of you enjoy my creative outlet!
Beauty in all places
One of my favorite pursuits is finding beauty in places that it’s usually ignored. I have a large set of photos on Flickr that were taken completely within the confines of my workplace parking lot. Parking lots have a special appeal because the color of the concrete lends itself well to creating unique out of focus backgrounds. Here’s a couple of shots from the Jack in the Box parking lot down the street.
