The Texture Club: May 2013

Posted in Texture Club, Textures | 0 comments

May is the 11th month of the of the Texture Club.   I’m still humbled and amazed by the work that’s been created with these resources.  I love seeing what you create on my Facebook page..

The Texture Club is a place for artists, photographers and designers to get some of the most unique textures, presets, etc. on the web.  I wanted to make it affordable, accessible, and fun.  I think I’ve done just that.  The club is $10/month.  For that $10, you’ll get at least 15 new textures, plus any other tools I create during the month.  I’ll add to the club as I create new things.

Here’s what you’ll get when you join in May:

  • 25 unique, super high resolution (18×12″ at 300DPI) textures that you can use as layers in your favorite photo editing application.  They’re standard JPEG files and can be used any layers compatible application like Photoshop, Elements, Paint Shop Pro or even free tools like The GIMP.    This month I focused on bring a great variety to the club.  There are floral influences, ephemeral touches and much more.
  • 9 new sheer color overlays.  Use these overlays to change the tonal range and lighting in your work.  They can be used in dramatic fashion or create subtle nuance in your pieces.
  • 20 Adobe Photoshop Actions.   I’m very pleased with this set.  It offers a great variety of color and tone actions and a whole new set of workflow enhancers.
I’ve received a number of questions about the license of the files I provide in the Texture Club.  They’re all open licensed.  You can use them for your commercial work without limitation.  The only thing I ask is that you not sell derivative textures or presets.
